Improving the User Experience for Ford Owners

In 2021, Ford launched the 14th generation of its popular F-150 pickup truck, which comes equipped with the latest version of Ford's smart in-car infotainment system, SYNC 4.

SYNC 4 provides drivers with personalized experiences and easy-to-use controls, allowing them to stay connected while on the go. The system's voice-activated commands and wireless compatibility with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay make it easy for drivers to access their favorite apps and stay focused on the road ahead.

The following case study showcases creative concepts aimed at Enhancing the SYNC 4 User Experience.

Turn Signal Activated Blind Spot Camera.

Experience a safer drive with SYNC 4's turn signal camera - it automatically activates when you signal, eliminating blind spots.

Park, stream, and enjoy your own personal drive-in.

Securialert 2.0
Next-Level Vehicle Protection

Securialert 2.0 is the latest feature from Ford that lets you monitor your vehicle from your phone. With real-time camera feeds, you can easily keep an eye on your car from anywhere.

Whether you're at work, at home, or on vacation, you can have peace of mind knowing that your vehicle is safe and secure.

Control your vehicle's climate remotely.

No more waiting for the AC to kick in or the heat to warm up.

With the new FordPass update, you can remotely adjust your vehicle's climate control settings from your phone, so your car will always be the perfect temperature when you get in.

Safer driving starts with a better user experience.

SYNC 4 enhances the driving experience by managing multiple audio levels for phone calls, music, and navigation. However, when drivers adjust the low navigation volume, the Audio Volume prompt temporarily obstructs the GPS screen, creating frustration—especially when they need clear directions. A simple redesign to relocate the prompt would improve visibility and streamline the user experience, allowing drivers to stay focused on the road while seamlessly receiving important directions. This solution not only addresses a key pain point but also enhances overall safety and user satisfaction.
